PS5 Restock Details This Week (May 8-15): Target, Walmart, and More

PS5-restock-notifications

Looking to get your hands on a PlayStation 5? Multiple retailers could potentially restock the PS5 this week, so you’ll have plenty of chances to buy one if you’re still in need of a next-gen console to play upcoming exclusives like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy XVI. Even if you know where to get one, actually adding a PS5 console to your cart and checking out is easier said than done. As such, it’s best to keep an eye on multiple retailers just in case you miss out on one of them. Here’s what we know about PS5 restocks this week.

Target PS5 Restock

Target has been all over the place when it comes to PS5 restocks. Target is one of the few retailers where you have a decent chance of finding a console in your local stores, so use stock trackers like Brickseek to check stores in your area. Those restocks aren’t advertised ahead of time, so just check every morning to be safe. Online, restock tend to happen in the mornings around 8 AM ET, but they always sell out within a few minutes.

Walmart PS5 Restock

Walmart typically restocks PS5 consoles once a month, and this retailer announces when it will have consoles available in advance. The past two stock drops took place on March 14 and April 7, so expect to see new systems for sale soon. However, restocks are only available for Walmart+ members and the free trial doesn’t count. You’ll need to be a paying member to get access to stock drops.

GameStop PS5 Restock

Gamestop usually restocks PS5 systems twice per month, with the last two restocks happening on April 2 and April 23. While you can’t count on any regularity, it looks like it’s nearly time for another GameStop stock drop sometime this month. GameStop rarely does online stock drops though, so you’ll have to keep an eye out for local store announcements. Restocks are announced online though, so you can keep an eye on GameStop’s Twitter page for details.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

Best Buy offers PS5 restocks most commonly on Fridays, usually in the afternoons. However, it has dropped consoles on Thursdays and even Mondays sometimes, so it can be a bit unpredictable. The restocks do always happen in the afternoon between 12 PM ET and 3 PM ET though, so check during those hours.

PlayStation Direct PS5 Restock

PlayStation Direct normally restocks PS5 consoles once per month, with the last stock drop taking place on April 20. To get access to these systems, you have to sign up via email and hope you’re selected for the next wave of invites. Then, you can wait in a virtual queue to purchase your system. It’s the most orderly way of getting a PS5, but it can take quite some time since there’s a long line of people waiting.

Amazon PS5 Restock

Amazon is one of the least reliable retailers when it comes to restocking PlayStation 5 consoles. Nobody knows when it will release any more PS5 systems. When Amazon does drop more consoles, they’ll only be available for Prime members, so you’ll need to have a subscription to get one. They usually sell out in seconds anyway though, so don’t count on this online retailer.

Antonline PS5 Restock

Antonline hasn’t restocked PS5 consoles since March 2, so it’s about time for the online retailer to get a new batch of systems ready for sale. However, Antonline is not recommended for PS5 purchases unless you’re desperate because they only sell consoles in expensive bundles with games and additional accessories. If you do want to go this route, turn on notifications for Antonline’s Twitter page since they announce restocks on there.

The PlayStation 5 is available now.
