Pokemon Sword and Shield – Where to Find and How to Evolve Feebas
Most evolutions in Pokemon Sword and Shield are pretty straight forward, but sometimes it gets very complicated. Reaching a certain level may not be enough, as is the case for Feebas. This returning character from previous generations has always been known for its tough evolution requirements, and that continues in the latest releases. Here’s how to evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokemon Sword and Shield. But first, to evolve Feebas, you need to know where to find Feebas.
Where to Find Feebas
Feebas is an extremely tough to find Pokemon in Sword and Shield. The only known location is Route 2, but you have probably already made it far past there and don’t have one yet. The trick is that you need to fish for him. But again, you may wonder why you didn’t notice any fishing spots on Route 2. You need to be able to cross water on your bike, then head to the end of Route 2 and you’ll see a small ramp. Head into that river and to the left and you’ll see a small island. From here you can fish for Feebas, but be ready to spend a lot of time there as he’s a rare spawn, meaning you may get on out of every hundred Pokemon caught here. Now that you have it, here’s how to evolve Feebas.
How to Evolve Feebas into Milotic
To evolve Feebas you need a specific item, the Prism Scale. I explain later on where to find the Prism Scale in Sword and Shield, so skip there when you’re ready. Once you have it, you need to have Feebas hold the item and then, unfortunately you have to trade it to someone else. The best way to manage this is to find someone else who has their own Feebas they want to evolve. Then just trade between yourselves, and either keep them or trade them back to their original owners. So now’s the other tricky part of where to find the Prism Scale.
Where to Find the Prism Scale
As usual, the most important items in Sword and Shield are found in the Wild Area. This one is hidden in the waters of South Lake Miloch, which is in the south east portion of the map. Head there and hop on your bike to ride around in the water. Watch for the small sparkles that reveal a hidden item. Pick up enough of them and you’ll eventually find a Prism Scale. Mine was at the very bottom of the map, though it could be different for you. Just explore enough and you’ll get one.
And that’s where to find and how to evolve Feebas in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
