Pokemon GO Murkrow Spotlight Hour Guide, Can Murkrow Be Shiny?
Murkrow is the final Spotlight Hour Pokémon in Pokémon GO for October. The Dark/Flying-type is the last in line for the Halloween festivities, following Drifloon, Ghastly and Gothita. As ever, not only is this a chance to stock up on Murkrow Candy, but also you’ll receive a helpful 2x Catch XP boost throughout the hour.
When is Murkrow Spotlight Hour in Pokémon Go?
The Murkrow Spotlight Hour will occur from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time on Tuesday 26 October. During this period, the world of Pokemon GO will be full to the brim with little blackbirds, and it’s up to you to catch as many as you can to exploit the event. Murkrow’s evolved form Honchkrow is a relatively powerful Pokemon, especially for the Great League, with its rare Dark/Flying-type. So, it’s worth making the most of this Spotlight Hour to add one to your roster quickly.
While seasoned players will know the drill for the Spotlight Hour by now, it’s important to remember to prepare. You’ll want plenty of Pokeballs, Razz Berries, Pinap Berries, and you should also pay attention to your throwing technique as you only stand to gain from a solid hour of Nice Throws.
Can Murkrow be Shiny in Pokémon Go?
As ever, during the Spotlight Hour, Murkrow can spawn as shiny, but it’s not a certainty. The more Murkrow you encounter, the more chance you have of running into a shiny, but you could well spend the hour finding nothing but plain old Murkrow.
Fortunately, unlike the recent Spotlight Hour Pokemon Ghastly and Gothita, Murkrow has a dramatic pallet swap for its shiny version. So you are looking for a pink/purple Murkrow, the beak is the same old yellow, but the rest of the body and the wings of the bird should be much more vibrant than the standard version.
That’s the breakdown on Murkrow, the last of the Spotlight Hour Pokémon in Pokémon GO this Halloween. There are plenty of other spooky tie-ins with the Halloween season coming up in Pokemon GO, including Gothita’s upcoming Spotlight Hour the week before Murkrow rounds off the season.
Pokémon GO is available now on Android and iOS.
