Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening – Where is Bow Wow
Most Zelda games have you rescuing, well…Princess Zelda. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and its remake on Nintendo Switch like to mix things up though. In this case one of the first things you have to do is rescue Bow Wow the chained up sort-of-dog thing from the Mario series which makes a cameo here alongside Piranha Plants and Goomba. But while you’re told to rescue him, you aren’t told where to do it. Where is Bow Wow in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Switch?
Where is Bow Wow
The answer lies to the north, through the Mysterious Forest that you should have quested through already. To get through it you need to have gotten past the raccoon using Magic Powder, so be sure you’ve done those things before questing out on this adventure. You’ll also need Roc’s Feather which will let you jump over the holes blocking the path. When you’re ready, head up there to find the secret hideout where Bow Wow is being held hostage.
You can find him in a cave marked with a Moblin head and an owl statue to the left. You can see its location on the map above. Just make your way to the northeast corner of the Mysterious Forest until you see a Piece of Heart surrounded by holes. Use the guides above to jump over these holes and head north then turn right to find the cave. Inside are a few bad guys you’ll need to take out, but once you do you will rescue Bow Wow and can make your way to Bottle Grotto.
Bow Wow is very helpful throughout the game, so you’ll definitely want to push through this part of the game. Hopefully that helped explain where is Bow Wow in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Switch.
