Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening – How To Lift Big Pots

For a small hero, Link sure packs quite the punch with his arsenal of weapons and his constant bravery. That does not mean he can lift giant objects though, at least not at first. We’ve already explained to you how to move big rocks in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening in another guide, but those are not the only large objects that Link cannot lift without some assistance. Link also comes across some large pots that he struggles to lift at first, but this guide will explain how to get Link a strength upgrade in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.

You will first come across these giant pots at the beginning of the game’s second dungeon known as Bottle Grotto. There is even a treasure chest blocked by them here, so you know they have to be movable.

To move these, you need to find the dungeon item that also lets you help lift rocks, which is known as the Power Bracelet. This item is a pretty common staple in the series, so it’s no big surprise that you need to find it.

This item comes about later in Bottle Grotto, even after you defeat the mini-boss of the dungeon, Hinox. Continue through the new few rooms after it and you will eventually run into a room with two Boos from the Mario series. Avoid them while lighting the torches in the room to kill the Boos and a treasure chest will show up with the Power Bracelet.

Once you obtain the Power Bracelet, you can then go and lift the large pots by pressing A like you normally would and it will lift it to where you can throw and break it by pressing A again while holding it.
