Far Cry 6: Aguada Cliffs Checkpoint Key Location
Checkpoints are scattered all across the island of Yara in Far Cry 6, but some players are having trouble finding the Aguada Cliffs checkpoint key. After capturing each checkpoint for Libertad, you can find a key that will get you inside a room containing a weapon cache and some valuable resources. Usually, these keys can be looted from high-ranking officers stationed at the checkpoint or found in hidden spots. The Aguada Cliffs checkpoint key has a caveat though, so here’s how you can find it.
How to Find the Aguada Cliffs Checkpoint Key in Far Cry 6
The Aguada Cliffs checkpoint key is located on top of a concrete barrier across the street from the locked door. Many people are struggling to find it since most checkpoint keys are either held by a guard or hanging somewhere on a wall.
However, this checkpoint appears to be bugged for some players. Some people are not able to find the key at all, even if they look in the right place. If the Aguada Cliffs checkpoint key is bugged for you, then there are two things you can try. The first method is to fast travel somewhere else and then return to the checkpoint. This could potentially force the key to spawn.
The better method, however, is to simply destroy the door. Even though it’s locked, you can still get in without a key. Most locked doors in Far Cry 6 can be destroyed with explosives. Simply toss a grenade at it and it’ll be blown off its hinges. If you don’t have grenades equipped, you can drive a vehicle up to the door and shoot it until it explodes. It should have the same effect.
Once you’re inside, you can open the weapon cache and obtain the BP-RUC assault rifle. This is an all-around good weapon with decent range but high recoil. It has three attachment slots and one mod slot, so it’s highly customizable. If you’re still early in Far Cry 6 and haven’t built up a strong arsenal yet, this weapon can carry you through most early to mid game missions.
Far Cry 6 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Stadia, and Amazon Luna.
