Elden Ring Mimic Tear Location: How to Get the Mimic Summon Ashes
Elden Ring offers an absolutely staggering amount of content within its world, with powerful foes to face, massive weapons to collect, and many things to discover. However, some items are head and shoulders above the rest, such as the Mimic Tear Ashes that can make you go from zero to hero in a matter of moments. The Mimic Tear is one of the best summons in all of Elden Ring, and it can help you decimate bosses that you may be having trouble with. It’s quite easy to obtain as well, but you’ll have to make a fair bit of progress in the main story before you can find it. Here’s where to find the Mimic Tear summon in Elden Ring.
Where to Get the Mimic Tear in Elden Ring
You’ll need to be a fair amount into the game before you can get the Mimic Tear. You have to beat Starscourge Radahn before you can obtain the Mimic Tear, as defeating Radahn unlocks a new area where the summon is located.
Once you have slain Radha, travel to the Fort Haight Site of Grace in Limgrave south of the Mistwood. Then, drop into the crater created by the fallen star that came crashing out of the sky after beating Radahn. This will take you to Nokron, Eternal City, and you’ll need to fight a boss called the Mimic Tear in the Night’s Sacred Ground area of Nokron before you can claim the summoning ashes. You can see the exact location of the Mimic Tear on the map below.
After defeating this challenging foe, continue following the path until you head into a Chapel where you’ll find a fog wall that is unlocked with a Stonesword Key. Take down the enemy inside and open the chest to find the Mimic Tear Ashes waiting inside for you to claim them.
Once you have this item, you’ll just need to equip it and you’ll be ready to create a partner to follow you through the world! Using the Mimic Tear Ashes allows you to create a spectral version of yourself that mimics your movement. It wears the same armor, brandishes the same weapon, and uses the same items as you, so you can take down enemies even faster with a copy of yourself.
Unlike most other Spirit Ashes, summoning the Mimic Tear consumes HP instead of FP. It costs a whopping 660 HP to use the Mimic Tear, so make sure you’ve leveled up your Vigor stat to be able to summon your copy without nearly dying in the process.
Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
