Call of Duty: Vanguard Assassin Proficiency Camo Bug: What to Do
Camo challenges are a huge part of Call of Duty: Vanguard, and one of the challenges requires players to use the Assassin Proficiency on their weapon. More specifically, this camo challenge requires players to “Get 10 ADS Kills with the Anastasia Sniper Barrel, Embrepp Broadsword Stock, and Assassin Proficiency Equipped” for the Automaton, one of Vanguard’s assault rifles. Even if you don’t use the weapon, this challenge must be completed if you want to unlock Gold camo for the Automaton and then Diamond camo for all of your assault rifles. Here’s what you need to know about the Assassin Proficiency bug in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
What is Assassin Proficiency?
As of the time of writing, Assassin Proficiency doesn’t seem to exist in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Proficiencies are a new part of the Gunsmith system, essentially allowing weapons to have their own set of unique perks. These include Sleight of Hand, which allows for faster reloads, and Nerves of Steel, which boosts accuracy while injured or suppressed by enemy fire. Proficiencies take up only 1 of 10 attachment slots for a weapon, so there’s no drawback to using them.
However, Assassin Proficiency is nowhere to be found in the Automaton’s list of Proficiencies. As a matter of fact, it doesn’t show up anywhere for any of the weapons in Call of Duty: Vanguard. We checked every assault rifle, submachine gun, sniper rifle, and everything in between and we just can’t seem to find it. It’s simply not in the game yet.
How to Fix the Vanguard Assassin Proficiency Bug
Unfortunately, there is no way to fix the Assassin Proficiency glitch since it’s not in the game yet. The only solution is to wait for Sledgehammer Games to add it in a patch.
Call of Duty: Vanguard has plenty of post-launch updates scheduled for the coming weeks, and there’s a decent possibility that Assassin Proficiency and other attachments/perks could be added to the game alongside Season One of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
The Season One update is scheduled to go live on December 2 alongside Caldera, the new Warzone map, so there’s a lot of content coming soon. To hold players over, the fan-favorite Shipment map is being added to the game later this month as well.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Check out our review of the game here.
